My 2cents worth. This is a filler movie. The movie RGV hypes and pushes hard so that he can make enough for his next big one, maybe Rann...? From his first horror movie, Raat to this one... saying the same thing.. we know little and there is lots which we don't know.. for such a smart guy to think audience needs to be told same things so many times is pretty dumb.
Hi RGV I feel that Tamil industry is bringing out movies with a grippng screenplay and good story line. I don't know if you have seen movies like Tamil M.A, Subramaniapuram, Kalloori, Naan kadavul which are made with utmost sincerity and honesty towards the point the director wants to share with the audience. I am not pointing out at you but in general, I don't get to watch any such movies in Hindi these days.
Except the spects guy no one was really bring up some real fear on there faces...the expressions what they gave are expected...there faces looked a bit like emulating conscious fear for "camera frame" instead of bringing fear on themselves and in audience prospective. Where in one shot the camera tries to haunt them and they suddenly looks back as though something is at their back. It looks like as though they were two different scenes shot and now edited and mixed for effect. It looks like when they look back there is nothing single strange in the frame. Felt that the connection between them is lost as both the shots were brilliantly taken. Probably only 10 trees swaying weirdly out of 30 in a group can give some strange effect as they cannot see the creature but can feel the force of it. In the next shot when blood drops on the spects...this guy would look up slowly for camera effect. If he is alone that would have a gr8 impact on audience. because he is still with others he would still have some guts to look up (not that slowly) on the tree with a flash of fear running on his face at the same time grabbing ones hand or showing his "half hand" upwards etc...back in theater for the sake of audience to create some curiosity to look at what’s there on the tree the slow movement of camera would work....but creating impact or shock value on the actor itself gives an impact on audience because they would have connected with him and with that scene already by that time. Music is good ...well pleasant to ears not that "RAW". But seriously I am just looking forward to see the film to surrender myself...as i know i just saw only 2:25 minutes of film.......regards prasad kovi
